NHC 2025: Final Round Judging & Awards Ceremony Details

We’re excited to announce that Kansas City, Mo., is the home of the 2025 National Homebrew Competition (NHC) Final Round and awards ceremony. After two great years in San Diego, we’re looking forward to bringing the Final Round to a new city with a vibrant homebrewing scene.

To earn a spot in the Final Round, homebrewers must win a first, second, or third place ribbon in First Round judging. View the results of the First Round here.

  • Receiving: June 2-11
  • Judging: June 26-27

AHA Selects Strategic Association Management as Association Management Partner

Independent Nonprofit Continues Transition with Support from Accredited AMC

Austin, TX — The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) is proud to announce a major milestone in its new chapter as an independent nonprofit: the selection of Strategic Association Management (SAM) as its Association Management Company (AMC). SAM, an accredited AMC based in Austin, Texas, officially began overseeing AHA’s day-to-day operations in July and is devoted to empowering mission-driven organizations to grow with purpose.

Members Helping Members and the New AHA Forum

Earlier this year, new American Homebrewers Association (AHA) member Joe Hetzel reached out for help securing homebrewing equipment. He realized soft drinks saturated with high-fructose corn syrup were impacting his health, so low- and non-alcohol beer became his beverages of choice. When he realized he could make these beverages at home for a fraction of the cost of buying commercial brands, he needed guidance putting together a brew system.
