Delight at the image of the sunlight glinting off their rich coats and seems to sparkle off the "feathers" on their legs. The finely detailed scrollwork bordering this breathtaking scene and the vibrant green hops around the base add further embellishment to the ornate design of this stein. Along a quiet riverbank, three puppies – a Brittany Spaniel, a Golden Retriever and a Black Labrador Retriever – examine a wooden duck decoy. "Making Friends" is the third handcrafted stein in the Hunting Puppies series. Elaborate ceramic relief images frame this peaceful full-color scene: One side depicts a trio of ducks among the reeds; on the other, a hunting dog tracks quail and pheasant. The generous-sized handle has cattail reeds in raised relief on both sides; the pewter lid features a ceramic inlay of the Golden Retriever.
